The third in a series of sculptures using fabric to explore self perception and emotion.

'But What Did I Miss?' is a very personal piece, attempting to portray the reclamation of self following menopause, whilst acknowledging the certain loss of one's familiar self, throughout what is often a considerable period of time, perhaps covering many years, and in my particular case, well over a decade.

The question that makes up the title to this piece is purely rhetorical, as I know exactly what I missed!

The following words represent my musings, and developed alongside the piece:

I am what I am
I am what I was
I was, now i am
I was what I am
It is what it was
It was, now it is
But what did I miss?
