'Of Confluence and Influence' symbolises the meeting of two ancient cultures; the Corieltauvi tribe, who made the Midlands their home from around 100 BC, and the Romans, who arrived in Britain in AD 43. Finds from the period show evidence of two-way influence between the Romans and indigenous Britons, resulting in a mix of styles and the emergence of a unique 'Romano British' culture.

The piece uses elements that I personally associate with each culture, through the coins and artefacts left behind by ordinary local Romano Britons, but blends them in a fictitious way, to create an impossible but delightful fantasy in celebration of the Romano British fusion.
